Community
In early recovery, we not only learn how to live our lives free of alcohol and drugs, but we learn how to become productive members of society. It is difficult for many of us to be successful in solitude. Being a part of a recovery community, something bigger than ourselves. It helps to give us a sense of purpose and inclusion. With the support of others, we are better able to cope with the challenges of recovery.
Culture
Alcoholism and drug addiction are often part of a larger culture. We often find it challenging to stay clean and sober while continuing to be a part of our ‘old lifestyle.’ At Wabash Recovery, we work hard to build a positive culture of recovery where individuals help to support each other. We also value teaching critical life skills while having fun without drugs or alcohol.
Communication
An effective program is often only as good as the communication between those involved. Our staff works hard to ensure open communication with those in our program. Many often find themselves dealing with a multitude of issues early in the recovery process. We create an environment where individuals can speak openly and honestly about their struggles.
